Scotland won the third place play-off against Papua New Guinea largely thanks to the efforts of Kathryn and Sarah Bryce who shared an opening stand of 102 to bring Scotland to a magnificent 10-wicket victory with three overs to spare. Captain Kathryn finished on 51 from 57 balls, keeper Sarah 41 from 47 after the sisters had earlier done well in the field as Kathryn collected one wicket for 13 and Sarah claimed two catches and a stumping. Papua New Guinea would have been pleased to have reached 101 for six as opener Jimmy played a determined innings of 25 and Frank hit four fours in her 28*, but Scotland's superb sister act proved just too good.
