IRELAND WIN GROUP B WITH THREE WINS OUT OF THREE

Ireland narrowly lost to Bangladesh in the final of the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifier held in Bangkok in 2015 but remained on course for a repeat of that final as they made it three wins out of three in the group stages with a comfortable victory over Uganda by eight wickets. Ciara Metcalfe had impressive figures of three for eight as Uganda managed 78 for 8 in their 20 overs. Clare Shillington gave Ireland another flying start with 27 from 21 balls and Ireland will face Papua New Guinea who finished second in Group A in the semi-finals.
