Thailand began the competition with high hopes of proving themselves on the world stage with a place in the World T20 in the West Indies their ultimate goal, but they lost to Scotland by 27 runs to record their third defeat in three matches. Nattaya Boochatham took two wickets in an over and Scotland were 32 for 3 after 10 overs but their innings was revived by Kathryn Bryce and Becky Glen. Scotland reached 97 for 7 but Nattakan Chantam hit a six and a four to keep Thailand's hopes alive. Nannapat Khoncharoenkai top scored with 22 but Thailand were bowled out for 70 as Scotland won their second match out of three to finish second in the group behind Ireland.
