THAILAND ON THE BACK FOOT AGAINST UGANDA

Thailand's chances of reaching the semi-finals are now looking highly unlikely following defeat against Uganda by 4 wickets. Thailand fought back well after losing 3 wickets with only 2 runs on the board and almost managed to defend a total of 67 for 9. Uganda were 26 for 5 in 12 overs but the lower order brought the African side home to a famous victory. Leg-spinner Suleeporn Laomi had given Thailand hope with three wickets but Immaculate Nakisuuyi proved the match-winner as she hit a six and two fours in the space of seven balls. Thailand will need to regroup and look to overcome Scotland in their next match on Tuesday.
